Define a new webhook

Last Updated: Jun 16, 2017 03:44PM CEST

Creating webhooks is as easy as creating any other kind of notification in Mambu.
Simply go to Administration -> Webhooks -> Notifications -> Add Template .

As part of a successful setup all from the below are required:
  • Notification Identity (name)
  • Subscription option (option: Opt-out/Opt-in)
  • Trigger (a team of the: and event + a when criteria)
  • Template endpoint destination
  • Template payload
  • HTTP call type
  • HTTP headers
A webhook is uniquely identified through it's name, hence for every new definition a distinct name should be used.

You will probably want to use an Opt-Out scheme whereas all existing targets (clients) and all newly created ones automatically are associated with this trigger: but opting clients in manually is also possible. The client needs to be subscribed to the notification in order to get a webhook call.

You can enter any data you like using placeholders and format it any structure your application would prefer to accept. Enter the URL of your endpoint where your application service which will be called with a HTTP POST/PUT/PATCH request when this trigger event occurs.

Sample configuration:

We recommend using service like RequestBin or Webhook Tester to test your webhook callbacks. These service allow you to define temporary dummy endpoints which will show you the requests and all the data you are receiving from Mambu.
